null MªCarmen Pujades presenta la seva tesi doctoral

MªCarmen Pujades presented her doctoral thesis

MªCarmen Pujades, researcher of the CAT-ClinART project and F.E.A. in Hospital Radiophysics at the National Dosimetry Center (CND), presented her doctoral thesis titled "Postal Dosimetry Audits for External Radiotherapy" on January 31st at the University of Valencia (UV). The thesis was co-supervised by another researcher from the project, Cristian Candela Juan, Medical Physicist from the Radiotherapy Oncology Service at the Hospital Clínic of Barcelona.

In her thesis, MªCarmen proposed a methodology for the optimal implementation of luminescent dosimetry in clinical radiotherapy environments, following the recommendations of the TG-191 report by the American Association of Physicists in Medicine. Additionally, she presented the results of the implementation of a dosimetric audit program under reference conditions at the CND.

Dosimetric audits complement clinical audits in radiotherapy, ensuring that participating centers maintain consistency. These audits are an essential element in any radiotherapy quality management system, as they help identify errors in reference dosimetry and discrepancies in dose delivery.
