Launch Update: CAT-ClinART Kick-off Meeting!
We’re proud to announce the successful launch of the Catalan Clinical Audit Network for Quality Improvement in Radiotherapy (CAT-ClinART). This project, co-funded by the European Comission, is a fundamental step in steadily improving high-quality, personalized radiotherapy treatments throughout Catalonia.

Our Strategic Goals: CAT-ClinART is dedicated to advancing the already high standards of radiotherapy, ensuring each patient receives personalized, effective care. Our approach includes:
1. Refining Methodologies: Employing the robust IAEA QUATRO clinical audits as a basis, we are customizing methodologies to align with regional requirements.
2. Advanced IT Infrastructure: Setting up sophisticated IT systems to systematically gather and analyze Quality Indicators, driving advancements in treatment outcomes.
3. Educating the Community: Enhancing understanding within the radiotherapy community of clinical audits' role in continually elevating patient care and safety.

Collaborative Excellence: The project leverages the expertise of over 51 professionals from diverse disciplines across 10 institutions. Additionally, our advisory board comprises international RT audit experts, key scientific societies, and health authorities, ensuring governance at the highest standards.

Unique Clinical Audit Model: A distinctive feature of the QUATRO audits in CAT-ClinART is the specialized training of auditors who are active professionals within RT departments. This peer-to-peer review process not only enriches the audit quality but also fosters a deep, practical understanding of day-to-day operations and challenges in radiotherapy.

Sustainability and Efficiency: CAT-ClinART is designed to be a sustainable model promoting the efficient use of resources. By establishing a permanent, robust clinical audit mechanism, we aim to ensure long-term improvements in treatment quality and operational efficiency, setting a scalable example for other regions.

Looking Forward:
- Auditor Training: Initiating a comprehensive training program based on QUATRO methodology for our RT professionals.
- Clinical Audit Cycle: Launching the first audit cycle focused on prostate cancer in 2025.
- Sustainable Development: Developing plans for a long-term clinical audit system that embodies efficiency and sustainability.

Join Our Mission: Follow our progress as we strive to enhance the precision and personalization of radiotherapy treatments through systematic clinical audits. Your support and engagement are vital to our collective success.
